Watson Wilkins & Brown, LLC, is a registered investment advisor and offers investment advisory & management services for institutions, high net worth individuals & eleemosynary clients.  We design & execute efficient, low cost, beta driven portfolios.

We started as a family office to address intergenerational needs for competent, ethical investment management. In that context we developed

  • disciplined investment processes
  • metrics to define & manage portfolio risk, and
  • performance measurement & reporting

We operate as fiduciaries and focus solely on the best interests of our clients. We have no economic interest in the execution of any trade, transaction, commission, or sale of any particular financial product or brand: we want no part of that model.

Things we do not do...

  • we do not take custody of client assets. We have arrangements with one of the largest global institutional custodians to provide independent, 3rd party custodial services to our clients and certain execution and analytic capabilities to us
  • we do not pay referral fees. We do not compromise the integrity of our relationships with our clients
  • we do not guarantee investment results of any kind over any time period. We do not sell relative performance. We construct portfolios that we believe will deliver expected returns over long periods of time by assuming a mutually agreed upon level of expected risk
  • we do not buy investment products with loads, 12b-1 fees, or termination fees.
  • we do not offer or recommend 'wrap' accounts, hedge funds, or private equity
  • we do not provide legal or tax advice and nothing in the course of our activities shall be so construed. We encourage our clients to seek advice from competent professionals, and we are happy to work with them. We rely on guidance from your tax & legal advisors to address issues that may arise
  • we do not provide advice or transactional services for insurance policies or annuities. We do provide general guidance on broad matters of risk management; however, we do not review policy documents or compare specific provisions of different policies
  • we do not vote proxies nor do we provide claims management services
  • we do not provide risk-free solutions because there are none. All portfolios incur market risk
  • we do not purport to provide perfect solutions because there are none. We do try to provide sensible solutions that reflect our best judgment as to the right balance of risk and return as constrained by scarcity

WWB or its principals from time to time provide strategic services, advice, transactional assistance, and consulting services to institutional investors, boards of directors, significant shareholders, executive management, and high net worth individuals, including assignments to improve governance of portfolio companies; create & implement strategies to increase shareholder value or preserve enterprise value; explore new business opportunities; or arrange operational joint ventures.
